Museum Overview
The Burchfield Penney Art Center is home to 7,500 works of art by
more than 600 artists. Originally dedicated to the works by watercolorist
Charles E. Burchfield (1893-1967), today the center features works
of such artists as Elbert Hubbard, Gustav Stickley, Cindy Sherman,
Robert Mangold, Les Krims, Frank Lloyd Wright, Wendle Castle, Al Paley,
Bruce Kurland, Edwin Dickinson, Susan Rothenberg, Joseph Piccillo,
Robert Longo, and many others.
Exhibits
The center features the Burchfield collection which consists of almost
700 pieces of art: paintings, drawings, sketches, prints, and even
wallpaper designs. Other works are represented by Western New York
artists.
